Treasury Action: Treasuries remain lower, lacking any bounce
Treasury Action: Treasuries remain lower, lacking any bounce despite the highest yields in two weeks. The 2-year rose to a high of 0.829%, with the 10-year climbing 1.68%. And momentum seems to be headed north for yields too, with the shorter maturity looking to the 0.85% level and the 10-year toward 1.75%. The increased potential for a December rate hike, along with hawkish Fedspeak, and set up for Friday's jobs report are keeping buyers on the sidelines. A heavy data slate kicks off tomorrow too, with the September ADP report slated, along with ISM services data. There's a lot more Fedspeak too before the week is out, along with ECBspeak which will be closely monitored after reports European policymakers are talking of a QE taper.
