Electric Boat Corp. awarded $101.3M government contract modification
Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Connecticut, is being awarded a not-to-exceed $101,295,930 undefinitized, cost-plus-fixed-fee modification to previously awarded contract for the manufacturing of 22 tactical missile tubes in support of the Ohio-class replacement. The contractor will be manufacturing tactical missile tubes to support the manufacture of the common missile compartment for the Ohio Replacement Program. Work will be performed in Quonset Point, Rhode Island, and is expected to be completed by December 2024. United Kingdom Foreign Military Sales incremental funding in the amount of $2,281,400; and fiscal 2016 research, development, test, and evaluation (Navy) funding in the amount of $1,118,600 will be obligated at the time of award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, District of Columbia, is the contracting activity. Electric Boat Corp. is a General Dynamics subsidiary.
