Lockheed Martin awarded $214.54M government contract

Lockheed Martin Corp., Mission Systems and Training, Orlando, Florida, is being awarded a $214,536,353 ceiling-priced, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for performance based logistics maintenance and support services for up to 400 Consolidated Automated Support System stations and 150 reconfigurable transportable CASS stations for the Navy and the governments of Australia, Finland, Kuwait, Malaysia, Italy, and Spain. Work is expected to be completed in April 2023. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, New Jersey, is the contracting activity.

Wells Fargo analyst Sam Pearlstein upgraded Lockheed Martin to Outperform saying he believes the company's earnings can grow 20% per year through 2020. The analyst sees potential for $20 per share of earnings in 2020 driven mainly by Lockheed's decision to freeze its pension plans. Pearlstein thinks the stock could be worth $300 and he upped his price target range for the name to $275-$280 from $255-$260.
