Alaska Air working to resolve concerns over Virgin America deal, CTFN says

Alaska Air Group (ALK) is said to be working on a package of remedies aimed at resolving antitrust regulators concerns over its pending acquisition of Virgin America (VA), according to CTFN, citing two senior antitrust attorneys, an airline industry consultant, and a former counsel at the Federal Aviation Administration. According to one of the sources, talks will likely go beyond the expiration of the timing agreement in place between the companies and the Department of Justice, but "shouldn't give cause for alarm," the publication noted.Reference Link

Alaska Air shares oversold on synergy target concerns, says UBS
UBS believes Alaska Air (ALK) shares are oversold due to synergy target concerns regarding its acquisition of Virgin America (VA). The firm expects to see multiple expansion as PRASM trends begin to look more like the rest of the industry. UBS lowered its estimates and price target on the back of the recent fuel price move and the higher leverage and lower cash return to shareholders due to its Virgin America deal.
