Cubic upgraded to Buy at Needham ahead of results
As previously reported, Needham analyst James Ricchiuti upgraded Cubic to Buy from Hold with a $48 price target ahead of the company's Q3 results. While the analyst expects there to be noise in the numbers from several factors, he sees it as already priced into the stock and believes investors should be focused on the improving profitability of the defense business in the next few quarters. Additionally, Ricchiuti sees a "meaningful catalyst" emerging in the Transportation business as Cubic appears "well positioned" to secure several high-profile contracts.
