Cheniere Energy initiated with an Outperform at Credit Suisse

Credit Suisse analyst Bhavesh Lodaya initiated Cheniere Energy (LNG) with an Outperform and a $53 price target. The analyst said the proposed acquisition of Cheniere Energy Partners LP (CQH) paves the way for potentially further simplification of the Cheniere story. Cheniere Energy will gain access to a larger portion of fixed fees from seven trains vs. two today, while diversifying the commodity risk tied to CMI across the entire business. For investors with a long-term bullish view on commodity fundamentals, Lodaya recommends Cheniere Energy which has exposure to most of the growth optionality, at the cost of higher volatility in its cash flows.

Cheniere Energy pullback a buying opportunity, says JPMorgan
JPMorgan analyst Jeremy Tonet says he left an investor dinner with new Cheniere Energy CEO Jack Fusco incrementally positive on the company. Fusco is well suited to usher Cheniere through the development process, Tonet tells investors in a research note. The analyst views the recent weakness in the shares as an attractive buying opportunity. He keeps an Overweight rating on Cheniere with a $54 price target.
