TripAdvisor price target lowered to $70 from $90 at Piper Jaffray
Piper Jaffray analyst Michael Olson lowered his price target for TripAdvisor shares to $70 after the company reported Q3 results below consensus. The roll-out of Instant Book "has clearly not been seamless," but its trajectory is improving, Olson tells investors in a post-earnings research note. The analyst continues to believe Instant Book will lead to higher hotel shopper monetization. He keeps an Overweight rating on the shares.

Yelp takeout chances increased with share conversion, says Cantor
Yelp's (YELP) conversion of Class B super-voting shares into regular Class A shares late last week increases the company's takeout potential, Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Youssef Squali tells investors in a research note. Yelp, especially following recent improvements in the underlying growth fundamentals of the business, has become "an easier, and more likely" acquisition target, the analyst contends. The analyst views Facebook (FB), Priceline (PCLN), TripAdvisor (TRIP) and Microsoft (MSFT) as potential acquirers of Yelp. Squali estimates Yelp could be worth $53 per share in a takeout. He keeps a Buy rating on the stock with a $42 price target. The stock is up 2% to $40.35 in early trading.

As previously reported, Atlantic Equities downgraded CF Industries to Neutral from Overweight and lowered its price target to $24 from $31. Further, higher natural gas prices remain a significant risk and CF's limited balance sheet flexibility limits cash returns until 2018, the analyst wrote.

Oct. NPD video game software sales rose 11%, says Piper Jaffray

Electronic Arts guidance likely conservative, says Piper Jaffray
Piper Jaffray analyst Michael Olson believes Electronic Arts (EA) is taking a conservative approach to its below consensus December quarter guidance given the recent late October launches of Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2.
