McCormick CEO Lawrence Kurzius to succeed Wilson as executive chairman
Alan D. Wilson, executive chairman of the board of McCormick & Company, announced that he will end his eight years of service as chairman effective January 31, 2017. Wilson will continue to serve as a board member and senior advisor for McCormick where he was employed for 23 years. Wilson retired as CEO in February of 2016 and continued to serve as executive chairman since that time. McCormick's board of directors has appointed Lawrence E. Kurzius, the company's president and CEO, to succeed Wilson as chairman, in addition to his current duties, effective with Wilson's stepping down as chairman. In addition, Gordon M. Stetz, executive VP of McCormick has announced that he will retire from the board effective December 31, 2016.
