AMD new opportunities can drive $2B in incremental revenue, says Craig-Hallum
Craig-Hallum analyst Christian Schwab says AMD's (AMD) Ryzen family of CPUs is expected to at least match comparable Intel (INTC) performance and be able to undercut Intel on price, in some cases by a significant margin. The analyst believes AMD's success in developing a competitive "Zen" based desktop CPU bodes well for the company's upcoming "Zen" based server CPUs, launching in Q2. Further, Schwab continues to believe AMD has the ability to drive over $2B in incremental revenue from its new opportunities, and reiterates a Buy rating and $16 price target on the shares.
