Averages mixed as options ready to expire

Stocks are mixed with the Dow and S&P lower and the Nasdaq higher, as has been the case for the last few hours. Earnings have been the story, with Microsoft (MSFT) moving to all-time highs and lifting the Nasdaq with it. Options are due to expire and the market is quiet given the event. Declining stocks are ahead of advancing stocks by 5:4 while down volume is ahead of up volume by 2:1. Oil prices are little changed.
