Futures higher as investors return from holiday

Stock futures are suggesting a positive open as investors return from the holiday weekend. The market is taking its lead from overseas markets, which were higher yesterday when the U.S. market was closed. Investors will be watching the U.S. flash PMI numbers and the tail end of the earnings season. In pre-market trading, Dow futures are 52 points above fair value, Nasdaq futures are 9 points above fair value and S&P futures are 3 points above fair value.
