Futures flat as earnings season gets set to pick up pace

Stock futures are trading near fair value as the earnings season get set to begin in earnest this week. Janet Yellen said in a speech yesterday that she expects the soft inflation data to firm and advocated gradual increases in interest rates despite the subdued inflation readings. Oil prices have moved higher on Iraqi concerns and are higher by more than 1% to rise above $52 a barrel. In early pre-market trading, Dow futures are 30 points above fair value, Nasdaq futures are 12 points above fair value and S&P futures are 2 points above fair value.
