Piper Jaffray analyst Troy Jensen believes the selloff in shares of Applied Optoelectronics following the company's negative Q1 preannouncement will create an attractive entry point. The weakness stems from issues related to customer concentration and inflated costs, which are more company specific and less of an issue for other optical players, Jensen tells investors in a research note. He expects Applied Optoelectronics to perform better with the ramp of 100G Datacom and keeps an Overweight rating on the name.
