KeyBanc analyst John Vinh notes that Apple (AAPL) revealed three new phones with incremental features and pricing largely consistent with his expectations. The analyst believes stocks best positioned to benefit from this upcoming cycle include Synaptics (SYNA), which supplies display drivers into the iPhone XR, and RF semiconductor suppliers, driven by content gains given increasing RF bands and enhanced wireless functionality. Vihn sees the new phone launch as most positive for Qorvo (QRVO), Skyworks (SWKS), and Synaptics. Conversely, the removal of the dongle from new and previous iPhones creates the most headwinds for Cirrus Logic (CRUS), he contends.
