Ahead of next week's results, Credit Suisse analyst Kulbinder Garcha says that recent data points from the supply chain suggest that overall Apple's iPhone shipments remain in line to ahead of expectations, with potential for a stronger mix. The analyst expects a modest increase in capital return, and continues to highlight a degree of pent up demand from iPhone installed base ahead of the major iPhone 8 super cycle as well as continued strong mix shift toward Services. Garcha reiterates an Outperform rating and $170 price target on the shares.

Apple (AAPL) supplier TSMC (TSM) has unveiled its A16 chip manufacturing technology featuring nanosheet transistors with "backside power rails" meant for producing its ultra-advanced 1.6nm chips by 2026, Nikkei Asia's Cheng Ting-Fang reports. TSMC says the introduction of the technology can "greatly improve logic density and performance." Reference Link
