JPMorgan analyst Samik Chatterjee says his monthly iPhone tracker indicates monthly revenue increases for the sixth consecutive month "despite lapping hard comparables from a year ago." On a month-over-month basis, aggregate iPhone revenues rose by 1% in August, Chatterjee tells investors in a research note. He believes Apple's monthly supplier revenue trends continue to support his view relative to moderating iPhone revenue headwinds. The analyst keeps an Overweight rating on Apple.

Apple saw sales of its iPhones fall 19.1% in the first three months of the year, CNBC's Ryan Browne reports, citing data from Counterpoint Research. Meanwhile, Huawei saw a 69.7% surge in smartphone sales in the country during the same period, Counterpoint said. Reference Link
