JPMorgan analyst Pablo Singzon upgraded American Equity Investment Life to Overweight saying concerns over the Department of Labor fiduciary rule seem overblown. The current share price undervalues the company's in-force book and ascribes no value to new sales, Singzon tells investors in a research note. He lowered his price target for the shares to $20 from $23.
