Stifel notes that American Eagle (AEO) and Abercrombie (ANF) have underperformed the apparel sector this year. However, the firm expects Abercrombie's comp and margins to improve, driven by better fashion offerings. It predicts that American Eagle's profits and comps will improve, partly due to increased innovation and fewer discounts, along with strong international growth.
