Jefferies analyst Anthony Crowdell says American Electric Power should trade at a premium to the group average, not the current discount, given the company's transition to being more heavily weighted in regulated earnings. American Electric is likely to receive a Purchase Power Agreement in Ohio, sell the remainder of its competitive generating plants and repurchase shares, Crowdell tells investors in a research note. He has a Buy rating on the stock with a $61 price target.
