Goldman Sachs analyst Michael Lapides raised his price target for American Electric Power to $99 from $90 and reiterated a Neutral rating following the company's Q4 report and reaffirmed 2020 guidance. In a research note to investors, Lapides says weather normal sales appeared slightly negative for the company and highlighted several items, including efforts on the proposed North Central Wind project -- a 1.5 GW and $2B rate base investment opportunity at its SWEPCO and Oklahoma subsidiaries -- with settlement agreements filed in Oklahoma and Arkansas, but final approvals still needed. He notes that the company also provided updates on rate case relief in the coming months with a settlement in Texas and Michigan and an order due soon in Indiana.
