WRLD, CACC, AYR, AL, AER
Nov 1, 2016 | 08:18 EDT
As previously reported, Stephens analyst Vincent Caintic initiated coverage of the specialty finance space, beginning coverage of four commercial / leasing stocks and five consumer finance stocks. Among the nine, Caintic sees the most potential appreciation in the near-term for AerCap (AER) and Air Lease (AL), beginning those two stocks with Overweight rating. In general, Caintic sees the need for yield by credit investors to be the key catalyst for specialty finance stocks over the next year, while also believing that consumer finance is pressured by overcompetition as investors hunt yield. Citing that view, he started Aircastle (AYR), Credit Acceptance (CACC) and World Acceptance (WRLD) with Underweight ratings.
