BofA Merrill Lynch analyst Julien Dumoulin-Smith upgraded AES Corp. to Neutral from Underperform following what he called a "constructive" meeting with management, telling investors that he sees upside to renewable development opportunities and expects opportunities in Vietnam and the Atlantic Basin to drive growth. Though he lowered his estimates 3-7% after accounting for the loss of DPL's DMR, Dumoulin-Smith raised his price target on AES Corp. shares to $16.50 due to a higher multiple and by assigning a 25% probability of executing on the LNG+CCGT project in Vietnam.
