After speaking with two panelists who have served as Federal and State regulators, Leerink analyst Ana Gupte still sees a 75% of the Aetna (AET) and Humana (HUM) merger closing. The panelists ascribed the Aetna, Humana merger a higher probability of success than Anthem (ANTM), Cigna (CI), which is expected to face more divestitures, Gupte tells investors in a research note. The analyst views opposition from Hillary Clinton regarding the mergers as "more headline risk" at this point and points out the panelists believe the "Black Swan risk" of no deals getting approved is unlikely.
