Cowen analyst Colby Synesael said that Akamai is right to ramp up investments in new offering to help sustain growth, but noted that management said at the company's analyst day that they expect margins to remain depressed for "the next several years." There could ultimately be a buying opportunity, but consensus EPS estimates need to be revised down first, said Synesael, who keeps a Market Perform rating on Akamai shares.
