DA Davidson analyst Mark Kelleher raised his price target on Akamai to $80 after its Q1 earnings beat and raised FY18 guidance. The analyst cites the company's security segment performance as particularly strong with a 36% increase on the year, offsetting slower growth in Media, even though the company has indicated that it is beginning to see signs of revenue acceleration in that segment. Kelleher keeps his Neutral rating on Akamai, but notes that the competitive pressure in the media vertical is leading to expanded gross, operating and EBITDA margins. The analyst also expects "increased enterprise penetration of security products over the next several quarters".
