Jefferies analyst Laurence Alexander yesterday raised his price target for Albemarle to $65 saying the recent jump in lithium spot prices is an incremental positive. However, the analyst believes expectations for near-term earnings revisions should not be pegged to the spot market. Structural improvements in contract terms matter more than 2016 price realizations, Alexander told investors in a research note. He kept a Buy rating on Albemarle.
