Piper Jaffray analyst Matt O'Brien said a post on the FDA website makes it appear that Align Technology received FDA approval for its new Mandibular Advancement, or MA, product, which he views as a positive if that in fact is the case. He has reached out to management to confirm, but has not yet heard back, O'Brien noted. MA has seen significant uptake in Europe and Asia, and he would anticipate a similar dynamic in the U.S., O'Brien added. The analyst, who said he would use the recent weakness in Align shares to start or build positions, keeps an Overweight rating on the stock.
