Goldman Sachs analyst Toshiya Hari said Applied Materials guided out-quarter earnings and revenue below consensus for the second consecutive quarter driven by foundry weakness. Hari believes Applied Materials will remain a "show me" story until the company returns to a beat-and-raise pattern as in 2016-2017. The analyst maintained a Neutral rating on Applied Materials and said he would consider turning more positive on the stock if he had more confidence in core WFE share gains and if long-term growth expectations in Display were reduced further.
