Wells Fargo identifies Amphastar as one of its top 2017 small-cap picks. The firm thinks that the company has three upcoming near-term catalysts: the December 28 PDUFA date for Primatene Mist, the February 19, 2017 PDUFA date for Amphastar's nasal-administered naloxone product, and the likelihood that the FDA will approve one of four generic products submitted by the company and currently being scrutinized by the agency. Amphastar has said that the agency will make a decision on one of the generic drugs in 1H17, Wells reports. The firm keeps an Outperform rating on the shares.
