Macquarie downgraded America Movil to Neutral and lowered its price target to $18.50 from $20 on shares. Analyst Kevin Smithen had hoped management would have announced a breakup or significant asset sale at its recent analyst day but the Board appears committed to shrinking the market cap and waiting on Brazil. Smithen expects share to trade sideways until LatAm investment sentiment or FX begin to improve.

Scotiabank analyst Andres Coello raised the firm's price target on America Movil to $17.20 from $16.60 and keeps a Sector Perform rating on the shares. Scotiabank's current price target implies modest downside from current levels and the firm intends to stay on the sidelines for now, the analyst tells investors.
