Jefferies analyst George Notter downgraded Calix to Hold from Buy with a price target of $30, down from $48. The analyst believes the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment program will be a major focal point for investors and will continue to push on timing. In addition, there is uncertainty about the timing of Calix's two larger customers improving, and the company is sustaining aggressive investments in the business, the analyst tells investors in a research note. The firm modestly lowered its software estimates and finds it hard to justify a premium valuation for the shares with stock comp making up a sizable portion of its net income.

Reports Q1 revenue $1.82B, consensus $1.82B. CEO Adam Miller commented, "The full truckload market remains extremely challenging as carriers navigate the oversupply of capacity, reduced load volumes, and continued rate pressure through the early part of the bid season. This has negatively impacted the results of our Truckload, Logistics, and Intermodal segments...Although our consolidated results are not where we would like them to be, we are confident that we have the resources and are capable of the disciplined approach necessary to navigate the current market...We are continuing our strategy of building a nationwide LTL network through both organic and inorganic growth paths. Our logistics segment will continue to complement our truckload brands, leverage our power-only capabilities, preserve profitability, and afford outsized growth opportunity when the truckload market strengthens. We are building a strong foundation of diverse customers in our intermodal business with strategic rail partners, which we believe will position us for sustained profitability in the future."

Reports Q1 revenue $1.122B, consensus $1.06B. Paul Rady, Chairman, CEO and President of Antero Resources commented, "The improved capital efficiency realized in 2023 continues in 2024. Our consistent focus on operations from our drilling and completion teams once again led to new Company records during the quarter. In the month of March, we set records for most completion stages per day at 12.6 stages per day and most pumping hours for a single completion crew in a month at 588 hours. These were both 7% higher than our previous monthly records. Our capital efficiency and focus on liquids development drove a sequential increase in liquids volumes and led to the production guidance increase for 2024. Further, this growth was achieved while running only two drilling rigs and one completion crew."

Craig-Hallum analyst Christian Schwab lowered the firm's price target on Calix to $41 from $48 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares. The firm notes Calix lowered its forward expectations for the second quarter in a row, blaming large customer spending patterns. Combined, the company's medium and large customers went from driving $77M in revenue in Q4 2023, to $43M in Q1, and are expected to be down roughly 50% sequentially in Q2 to near $20M, Craig-Hallum adds. Management believes Q2 will be the bottom for the company's topline results, with its medium and large customers now at a level that can eventually return to growth.
