BTIG analyst Walter Piecyk initiated ARRIS with a Buy and a $38 price target saying it is well positioned to benefit from the densification and convergence of cable and wireless networks. Piecyk said the industry transformation that threatens future set-top box sales is also likely to drive cable investments to increase home broadband data speeds and ready their networks to provide 5G wireless services. He believes Arris is well positioned to benefit from these investments with its existing product portfolio and as a result of its pending acquisition of Ruckus, a leader in carrier grade WiFi/CBRS/LTE wireless access points.
