Piper Jaffray analyst Sean Wieland expects shares of athenahealth to " trade without a net" today after the "surprisingly weak quarter and outlook." The analyst attributes the miss to lower revenue per visit, deferred revenue recognition in relation to customer guarantees and slower onboarding of clients. Wieland continues to believe athenahealth has the best platform in the space, however. He keeps an Overweight rating on the name. The stock last night in after-hours trading moevd down 17%, or $20.45, to $101.00.
