After athenahealth announced that it has identified approximately $100M in cost-savings opportunities, Piper Jaffray analyst Sean Wieland said he believes the company's increased operating leverage should drive multiple expansion. The news that the company will separate its CEO and Chairman roles is both a sign of maturing but also a rebuke of recent performance, added Wieland, who keeps an Overweight rating and $171 price target on athenahealth shares.
