After Sony (SNE) shared details around its upcoming next-generation game console, widely referred to as the "PlayStation 5," Baird analyst Colin Sebastian said the details - including plans for significant GPU and CPU upgrades and the inclusion of a solid state hard drive - are largely in line with his expectations and support his view that the next generation of consoles should be "a major catalyst" for software sales in 2020-2021 and beyond. Sony's announcement that the next-gen console will include a physical disc drive is a potential positive for GameStop's (GME) used and pre-owned console software segments, added Sebastian. Video game software makers include Electronic Arts (EA), Take-Two (TTWO) and Activision Blizzard (ATVI).
