Piper Jaffray analyst Michael Olson notes that January NPD video game software sales were down 10% year-over-year, which he attributes to a "dearth of new titles and weaker sales of Dec. qtr launches." The top titles for the month were Activision's (ATVI) Call of Duty: Black Ops III and Take Two's (TTWO) Grand Theft Auto V, Olson tells investors in a research note. He believes the industry remains healthy and keeps Overweight ratings on Activision Blizzard, Electronic Arts (EA) and Take-Two (TTWO).
