While still early, there are signs Activision Blizzard's Call of Duty Black Ops 4 is shaping up to be a "smash hit," potentially selling 10M units in its October 12 launch weekend alone and outperforming Q4 estimates by 5M units, Jefferies analyst Timothy O'Shea tells investors in a research note. Assuming each extra million units contributes 3c of earnings, this could translate into 15c of upside for 2018, the analyst calculates. He continues to believe Black Ops 4 looks like the most exciting version in years. O'Shea keeps a Buy rating on Activision Blizzard with a $90 price target.
