Piper Jaffray analyst Michael Olson said Activision Blizzard's Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 sold-through over $500M in its first three days, which was in line with his expectations as he sees 23.5M units sold for the full year, up from an estimated low-20M in 2017, Olson tells investors in a research note. Though the launch was pulled forward from its historical November launch, which means early sales of this year's version will not benefit from the upcoming holiday season as much as in previous years, but the timing will give the game an additional three weeks of sales. Strong sales could bolster digital with season pass sales now the only means to buy DLC. The analyst maintains an Overweight rating and $88 price target on Activision shares.
