Goldman Sachs analyst Waqar Syed upgraded Atwood Oceanics to Neutral citing better visibility into re-contracting prospects for the company's four deepwater rigs. Further, the analyst views Atwood as an attractive takeover target for companies looking to high-grade their fleets close to the bottom of the offshore drilling cycle. Syed raised his price target for the shares to $8.25 from $7.50.
