Raymond James analyst Brian Gesuale says that despite the company's Q1 gross margin weakness and EPS shortfall, AeroVironment maintained its outlook for the year based on confidence that a pickup in Q2 bookings and better visibility will reinforce its prior guidance. However, the analyst sees potential turbulence ahead and trimmed his full-year estimate as his conviction that AeroVironment can hit its 2017 mark has waned. Gesuale reiterates a Market Perform rating on the shares.
