Longbow analyst Garik Shmois raised his Q2 estimates for Armstrong World above consensus after his ceiling channel checks, stating that demand appears to be tracking ahead of his previous 1% growth forecast. He continue to hear backlogs remain healthy into the second half, added Shmois, who keeps a Neutral rating on Armstrong shares but said he "skews positive" on its solid earnings growth outlook. The company "looks well on its way to the mid- to upper-end of guidance" based on these checks and a strong Q1, added Shmois.
