Cowen noted Axiall shares have risen recently due to suggestions from two major shareholders and they believe the company should undertake a substantial strategic review and explore all options. The sale of the company does not seem to be a viable option, as earnings issues are more tied to business conditions than anything else, said Cowen, which maintained its Market Perform rating and $39 price target on Axiall shares.
