Canaccord said in a note issued before the open that it believes Black Diamond has entered the final stages of its sale process for its Black Diamond/PIEPS and POC brands. The firm thinks that either the whole company will be sold to one strategic buyer or that each brand will be sold individually in two deals and believes news will come as early as two weeks from now, but no later than 8 weeks from now. Canaccord reiterates its Buy rating and $16 target on Black Diamond shares, which are up 8% to $9.65 in early trading.
