FBR Capital analyst Thomas Curran believes neither Halliburton (HAL) nor Baker Hughes (BHI) has any intention of terminating the planned merger. The analyst recommends buying shares of Baker, especially on weakness. Halliburton has started to assemble its proposed final tranche of disposals for the deal, which aligns with its "repeatedly professed commitment" to the acquisition, Curran tells investors in a research note.
