Gabelli analyst John Tinker downgraded Barnes & Noble to Hold from Buy. The stock currently trades at $6.71, above the buy-out price of $6.65, and Tinker tells investors in a research note that though the well capitalized Elliot Advisors might be willing to pay more given the benefits of owning both Waterstone's and Barnes & Noble, the possibility of an additional serious higher bid is low, given that Barnes & Noble has been for sale for months.
