Citi analyst Anthony Pettinari raised his price target for Ball Corp. to $86 from $81 saying the company's secular thesis on beverage cans is still in the "early innings." Ball shares rose 5% as investors looked past a Q2 operational miss and focused on the "extremely bullish" commentary on long-term beverage can growth, Pettinari tells investors in a research note. While many Packagers are posting flattish and in some cases negative volumes, Ball is seeing mid-single-digit global beverage can growth, says the analyst. He reiterates a Buy rating on Ball Corp.
