As previously reported, Credit Suisse analyst Manav Gupta started coverage of Baytex Energy with an Outperform rating and C$3.50 price target. The analyst notes that Baytex Energy is an oil-weighted mid-cap E&P that offers "meaningful" production growth that should come from high netback assets in the Viking and Eagle Ford.
