SunTrust analyst Jennifer Demba lowered her price target on BancorpSouth to $31 to reflect the lower industry valuations and also kept her Hold rating. The analyst says the bank's loan growth will "likely trail peers" as the company is resistant to compete on rates. Demba also warns that BancorpSouth's mortgage profitability may suffer in the higher interest rate environment, adding that its 12-times expected forward earnings multiple is in line with the peer median.
