DA Davidson analyst Kevin Fitzsimmons upgraded BancorpSouth to Buy from Neutral with a price target of $34.50, down from $36.00. While he has reduced his 2020 EPS estimate by 6c and 2021 EPS estimate by 2c to account for a lower base NIM and a lower assumed base of core fee revenues, Fitzsimmons sees a number of positive, fundamental tailwinds for BancorpSouth while also pointing to the sharp selloff in the stock post-earnings.
