After Reuters reported Conagra Brands (CAG) recently approached Pinnacle Foods (PF) to express interest in an acquisition, JPMorgan analyst Ken Goldman says a combination "makes a great deal of strategic sense." A deal would be accretive to Conagra's earnings, though perhaps not as much as some observers believe, Goldman tells investors in a research note. The analyst models 13% earnings accretion to Conagra from the deal, including all costs and synergies.
